What's NOT Included
Unlike the Amex Platinum ($895/year), the Gold card does not include:

- Hotel elite status (no Marriott Gold or Hilton Gold)
- Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit
- CLEAR credit
- Airline fee credit
- Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits
Is the Amex Gold Worth It?
The Amex Gold is ideal for people who spend heavily on dining and groceries. The $325 annual fee can be offset by:
- $120 Uber Cash (easy to use)
- $120 dining credit (at select merchants)
- $84 Dunkin' credit
- $100 Resy credit
- = $424 in annual credits
If you use all the credits, the card effectively has a negative annual fee before considering the 4x earning rate on restaurants and groceries. The Gold card is better than the Platinum for dining-focused spenders who don't need travel perks.
